Letter to Danish Minister of Health against dismissal of Peter Gotzsche

We need more medical professionals with Peter Gotzsche integrity. How are we ever going to trust medical professionals if they are not allowed to speak the truth? Peter should be rewarded for his honesty and the fact that he has the communities interest at heart. In the long term he is saving money and everybodies health as he is preventing injuries. Hats off to you Peter.

academic democracy is being eroded to being slavery of a specific corrupted pharmaceutical cartel and maintaining Peter’s job will at least place checks on these matters to safeguard the unwary public from being used as public victims which in turn costs governments billions in unneccesary health costs; look at the vioxx saga ; you have to prevent another 50000 lives from needlessly being lost again. Sweden prides itself in people’s justice but what about justice for the Swedish heros that protect these very same people. Peter laid down his life and carrier to provide justice to public safety and should be recognised for his deeds and not as a passing matyr. If Sweden losses this academic champion of justice; Sweden will openly deny justice for its people from these public health safety matters. Can the Swedish parliament afford to allow a few executives of these specific corupted corporate health entities to spit on Swedish laws that protects the public? This would mean the current parliament members would betray the Swedish people for public health safety. Why would the people then vote for those in power now in future elections? If the current Parliament members seek in their heart and soul to honor public health safety; they would then justify the public in supporting them in future elections. Wisdom and public health safety must overide any possible corrupted options. Only if this occurs can Parliamentarians honor their public positions; the voters that elect them and the cherish love for their very own families- then and only then can they stand proud in public circles that says “ my dear citizens; I am here to protect you and uphold the Swedish laws for justice of the people. Prof Peter Gøtzsche's meticulous integrity, his challenge of scientific misconduct and championing excellence in scientific research is a service not only to patients and the medical community, but to humanity. That a minority vote of 6 to 13 by members of the Governing Board to expel Prof Gøtzsche and that no objective evidence has been provided to support the decision they have made is deeply disturbing and I fear this action may serve to put future patients at risk. That four members of the Governing Board have since resigned in support for Prof Gøtzsche is further evidence of the gravity of this situation. It is essential that Prof Peter Gøtzsche be fully reinstated as Director of the Nordic Cochrane Centre.
