Letter to Danish Minister of Health against dismissal of Peter Gotzsche

Cochrane's reputation is damaged by actions that suggest it's independence is being corrupted. Without transparency of clinical data decision making risks being corrupted both intentionally and unintentionally.

I find this outrageous! Peter Götzsche is one of the most serious and ethical researchers I have ever encountered in my 30 year career as a researcher and professor. The fact that he is being ousted is a frank proof that what he has been saying and writing about - the pernicious influence of the industry - is true to the bone.

Lad Götzsche beholde sin stilling - til gavn for gennemsigtighed omkring forskningen i, hvilken medicin den enkelte dansker måtte have brug for. Til gavn for os alle.

To dismiss or fire such a person as Peter Gotzsche, what is that other than the silencing of data to the public and circumventing the rule of free spech? This is how it is done. Not openly by the government, but via its organizations. Democracy is just for show. It does not exist for real. Real democracy is not a place where honest people have no rights and things get run from behind the scenes and dark cornes of government buildings. No, it is a place where everyone can have a say and evil can be exposed for what it is. I suggest a demonstration to be made, at least if he would get dismissed but maybe even without it and all alternative media to be alerted.
