Code enforcement? Of course! And accountability and oversite for grant funds is a must. Why would you give out funds without evidence they are being spent for the purpose intended.

As owner of a business that is NOT downtown, I understand the importance of a vibrant downtown in recruiting and attracting new development, new business and industry (jobs), and new families to the area. Cleaning up downtown should be one of our highest priorities. Enforcing existing ordinances should be an obvious first step. (Do ya think?) Incentives also make a lot of sence. We already have other incentives that apply for other areas of the city, why not downtown?

Keep Rocky Mount looking good. It’ll bring more visitors and tourist to the area. Rocky Mount has a unique appeal everytime I come to visit. Please support the businesses that’s trying to make the experience of coming to the downtown area an success.
