CBE called it a dialogue, cynically like a euphemism, for a session where they just told us that their decision was already made and then allowed us to vent our thoughts to a piece of paper with zero actual conversation between CBE and parents (ie. no dialogue).
Parents expect to participate in decisions that affect them.

We strongly recommend CBE to take another look at for planning junior high school with long term approach. The junior High located at South for Madarin Program is a must! And CBE needs to have the solution fast! Otherwise there has no hope for Calgary Madarin Program to be successful, and it will discourage the community and all residents who believed in the program. As a parent of 2 kids who are attending the program, I'm very disappointed to see the situation here. But we will fight for the program and for the kids ' future until we get what we were promised.

Stakeholders in the south need to be consulted with this issue. There is a vested interest from a large community of parents that wish to grow the Mandarin bilingual program. This program has started in the south a few years ago, and needs to continue. There needs to be other options than having to move the program to the north, which would effectively serve to shut down interest from the south and be a detriment to the Mandarin bilingual program in Calgary as a whole. There is growing demand, and the education system needs to sustain this demand. Please keep the program alive in the south from K-9 inclusive.

The program needs to be expanded in south. CBE cannot ignore the requirements and only considers to increase their own salary.

These families deserve real solutions to this outlandish problem. I suggest CBE finds a LOGICAL solution, or face Midnapore Families, who will surely keep reminding them in new creative ways, of their years ignorance and neglect, until a just compromise is made. In my opinion, CBE's intergrity and professional reputation is at stake. SIGNED!
