Reusable sturdy plastic bags seems to be the best solution.

This is a good opportunity to let your friends know you want to help save the planet. You must begin somewhere. It might as well be here in Summit.

Great work, cutting down on plastic pollution. Micro-plastics are now in our drinking water and they adhere to toxic chemicals that cause cancer, plus plastics in our waterways kills marine life. We also need desperately to cut down on fossil fuel burning to save habitable Earth, and we need to do these things quickly. We must cut down on carbon and methane emissions quickly, just as we reduce plastic waste. We can all help by refusing throwaway plastic containers and plastic straws wherever we go around town, and we can help by conserving electricity as much as possible, and using www.CleanChoiceEnergy.com in our homes until we can get our town to have community solar arrays and electrical vehicle charging stations. CleanChoiceEnergy.com uses only renewable energy on the grid and only re-invests in renewable energy, and you still get your bill from NJP&L or NJPG&E. as always, but your supplier is your choice. It takes a few mins to switch online to a clean energy supplier. We also need to ask Gov. Murphy to call an emergency moratorium on building new gas pipelines and gas powered plants. Methane is a very dirty polluter of our atmosphere and the use of natural gas produces methane at every stage of delivery. Go to www.EmpowerNewJersey.com to learn more about the campaign to stop new fossil fuel infrastructure from being built in NJ because it's about to add 30% more pollution to our air, and that polluton causes asthma and lung disease and is bad for Earth's atmosphere and horrible for our health. EmpowerNewJersey is a COALITION of over 60 top non-profit, environmental orgs., like Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, Food and Water Watch, Faith Action and Green Faith, etc. working to save habitable Earth for wonderful young people like you environmentally conscience boys. Thanks for your work to restrict one-use plastic waste. Mother Earth blesses you.
