SeaWorld has been criticized for its treatment of marine life with numerous reports suggesting that captivity significantly shortens these creatures' lifespans. Slaughterhouses across the country continue to operate under conditions that disregard animal welfare.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), over 1 million animals are used in product testing every year in the U.S alone. Furthermore, a report by World Animal Protection indicates that up to 5500 whales, dolphins and porpoises are held captive worldwide as part of tourist attractions.

We cannot stand idle while these atrocities continue unchecked. We call upon our local Columbus citizens to enact stricter regulations on animal welfare standards across all industries including fashion brands like Canada Goose; entertainment venues such as SeaWorld; slaughterhouses; kill pens etc.
