ll start and say I will never forget that the Allam’s saved this club from an uncertain future. If some are to be believed certain extinction? So I won’t criticise them to much. This is no time for speculation, it is time for action. As a Hull City fan I want the best for this club. The best for this club in my opinion is the retention of our best young talent and our manager, Nick Barmby. He has moulded a promising attacking unit from Pearson’s solidly built defensive unit. The facts as we know them are that Nick has been suspended. No one knows why but the media and fan speculation point to his outspoken comments in relation to investment. I have poured over each and every media release from Nick and can not find any outburst to justify his suspension or sacking. So what happens next?? The fans and media continue to speculate, disapprove etc and eventually Nick will attend his disciplinary. He may well then be sacked, forced to resign or resign of his own accord due to pride. That in my opinion would be disastrous. Fans would leave in their droves in disgust; players would also revolt and want to leave. All Nick’s (and dare I say it Nigel’s) hard work will be for nothing. We can not let that happen. The fact that he has been suspended points to a way back despite speculation to the contrary! I as a fan would like to remind the Allam’s just what Nick means to this club and city. I also want to let Nick know that the fans and the city are behind him. And if he is given the opportunity to swallow his pride, take his punishment for whatever he has done and lead the tigers out next season. This is were I need your help! Yes you! Fan power, I believe in people power and fan power. I think the Allam’s are not silly, I think they would listen to the fans if enough show their support. The only way to do that is bye petition or some kind of peaceful demonstration. Now I have a total of 1,600 Facebook friends on my business and personal pages and I intend to paste this message to every message board, fanzine etc that I can. I am not great with technology so I am asking for people with knowledge of organizing such events to help. I am asking for anyone who loves this club to get behind me and offer any help they can. This message may be a small cry that just falls to deaf ears. Or it may be the start of 5-10000 maybe more names on a petition. Even better if the majority are season ticket holders and are willing to put their customer numbers on the petition to show the Allam’s it’s not just fake names on a list. The petition would simply be saying don’t let Nick go, he is this clubs future. It would not be a if Nick goes the fans go, threats won’t work, but I feel a public show of support just might save Nick his job if he can swallow his pride Now is the time for action.
