Great campaign and I too have had and seen near misses. One of the issues is that the lights don't react fast enough for pedestrians. This means its really difficult to teach your kids to wait for the green light as other pedestrians lose patience and run across. The crossing lights should react as soon as the button is pressed.

Daily i see vehicles go thru red lights on all sets of lights from broadwalk to three lamps. So often near misses..

I agree this crossing in particular is unsafe - many cars queue in traffic up and down the Wells Rd and continue through the lights when changed or just blatantly ignore these lights altogether. The time it takes for each set of lights to change is also far too long although I appreciate this is a busy road

I've had near misses on this crossing myself while crossing with my children. Cyclists not stopping at the lights are also an issue.

Since Bristol City Council have agreed the Wells Road crossing needs a lollipop person for the school because of the level of risk from motorists perhaps they could review the crossing - a camera wouldn't cost much.
