Even though this corner is posted 70kms, people fly by 100kms. If it's clear, I have just enough time to get going safely when someones coming at me 100kms

Absolutely agree. That intersection is terrifying. Something should have been done years ago

Very dangerous corner ‘ not only turning onto francious lake road but as well as turning on to the highway especially at night and the icy road conditions add to the road safety conditions! I would say quite dangerous ‘

We have lost family members at the particular turn off so having a turn lane would be very helpful and a lot safer for everyone that needs to turn at that blind corner

Little good a turning lane does when the lines are usually obliterated. At least when the lines are showing I can say that I was in the turning lane when the semi hit me. Though the road has a nice wide shoulder east bound lane, more often than not, their trailers cross the yellow line.

I refused to drive with my infant twins because this intersection is so sketchy.
Almost got hit head on by a semi that doesn't believe in TURNING LANES.
I was stopped in the marked turning lane waiting for him to pass

I agree totally! I have to go down Steiner road across from Francois lake road and even trying to get back on the highway to go either way is also scary because it’s hard to see any vehicles coming especially in the winter.

I turn there everyday with my 4 children. Not only you have to worry about the people behind you when you slow down and turn, you have to worry about the vehicles coming around the corner and the vehicles coming off Francois lake road onto the highway. Very dangerous in the winter

I agree Twyla Its very dangerous slowing down to make a left hand turn in the turning lane is shetchy when icy and semi's are coming toward you as their lane is narrow.

I have a lifetime of scary moments at that intersection. I was in the last car accident there before they put in the turning lane. I would love to see a safe change made there. I drive that road and I transport our most precious cargo, children. Any ideas? I use the only tool I can, defensive driving with common sense. But, it’s not me that I worry about, it’s other drivers that aren’t aware of what that intersection means. Especially in the winter.
