Agreed, an area needs to be fenced off, not only to keep the dogs safe, but also to separate them from the children's play area and the creeks and bushes where rabbits live.

Should have been installed when the park became dog friendly

Keep the dog park, having a dog friendly environment along with these facilities are what makes our Stanhope/ponds and hills area unique and attractive among the other Sydney suburbs

Dogs are more loyal than human. They deserve our love and care. For a lot of people that is the only company they have.

and let's not forget the positive impact pets have on treating mental illness. This is an important investment Blacktown Council can easily make in its community.

Dogs are like family and should have areas to play out in the fresh air.
As long as owners control and supervise them I think there should be more dog friendly parks.

would love to see their fenced. With our small sized blocks of land it's so important to have somewhere our dogs can run and be safe.

Having a dog park without fencing is pointless. Even the best behaved dogs get a bit silly when they are playing, like kids, so all pet owners want that sense of reassurance a fence would give.

I would use this facility regularly if it was fenced.

This park is so CLOSE to a main road, this being Stanhope Parkway!
It is really important to fence this area off for a number of reasons;
1) The safety of the dogs being hit by a car,
2) The flip side of above comment, the safety of drivers if a dog runs onto the dual carriageway. It's a catastrophe waiting to happen.
Great initiative!
