Matty helped me through the roughest time of my life with food, when I had no money for it, money, when I needed clothes for my new job, which helped me get my life straight and even a place to stay when I had no place else to go. I truly don’t know where I would be right now if not for his kindness. I will miss him until the last breath escapes from my body. The amazing thing is that I am not the only one that helped in such a profound and meaningful way. He was a special person. This world needs more people like him and he needs to be remembered in perpetuity.

Matthew has been a staple in Flushing for many many years. Always a happy wave and big hug when ever you come by. You don't just leave with a belly full of food, you leave knowing being feed full of great laughs and advice when ever your there. There is no better way for everyone to honor and remember such a great person and huge lost it is for the neighborhood.

Matthew feed my and my little brother while growing up. When my parents didnt have enough to feed us some evnings, matty would take care of us. He not only helps buy feeding but by giving sound advice, and lending a hand whenever and for whatever. This man was a fixture on main street, known and loved by many. Please allow us to remember him by putting up a sign in memory of him.
