This is absolutely shocking I can barely make it to school on time at the current time I’d rather smell a donkeys left toe than start school earlier. And that makes Sal tonight’s big loser

I would encourage students from Dunbar Grammar School to sign this petition about the new school day because the bottom line is students were not consulted about the new school day until the very end when the plan was already in place. This means we need to stop the new school plan and consider negotiating an alternative new school day that works for all students and teachers across East Lothian.

I think that the new school time table should be take more views from the pupils to make a better happier school day for everyone

our views are not being taken into consideration, there is no reason for the school day to start earlier when there is scientific evidence that teens’ brains work better later on in the day.

I’m stressed and tried enough, as that is to much for me I’ll probably be late about every day which will affect my attendance.

This is ridiculous. How can they expect us to work for two and a half hours straight between break and lunch? This drastically reduces music tuition by almost three hours over the year because it’s shortening lesson time

Unacceptable. Don’t shorten the day. Think of the mental health of the students.

I believe we are already in the routine and we have other things to think about more pressing matters not to be moving around our whole day

We are teenagers - we need sleep and rest! Starting earlier and giving us shorter breaks will not fulfill our needs as young people.
