Let's implement a district wide recess policy throughout Williamsville's Elementary Schools

These kids are doing non-stop work all day to keep up with the NYS standards. They are full of energy and have trouble focusing that much. We already spend 6 months of the years indoors due to weather, they need to get some of that energy out. It would be even better to move it to early in the day.

My daughter will be starting kindergarten in the fall, and I'm very disappointed to hear that there is a chance that she might not get recess time. I feel that it is utmost importance for small children to get to go outside, play, get out their energy, and get some fresh air and sunshine. Even if it's a shirt time, the physical activity will only help students focus in their educational endeavors while inside.

I strongly support this.

Kids should have at least 2 times of OUTDOOR recess a day! Their performance and concentration will be so much better afterwards.
