Lets get Elliott Smith in the rock and roll hall of fame

There has to be a little of Elliot Smith in Us All, everlong! An ambitious Pioneer Soloist who helped shape much of the Indie music today! I personally find INDIE Rock bluntly ignored and unjust that the Hall of Fame has not yet shined light on the very genre Elliot held a huge foundation of a challenged genre in Rock during that era. Easily wayyyy more talented and underrated than some members already accepted when others were overlooked sadly. Elliot Smith is the very kind of a pure soloist of such ahead of its time by not only his genre mixture of late 60's-early 70's classic artists to even Rockabilly era which helped influence his amazing unique style sound and lyrics that was never fully discovered til later on in his career, and his deeply beautiful,100% Raw talents proved to the world and later after his passing, a single modest artist could spark a mysterious detection today when discovering for the 1st time such a original one and only voice and lyrics in every single song heard. I doubt I've disliked any of his songs in fact! Many artists would follow in his shoes: Sufjan Stevens,My Morning Jacket,Jack Johnson, and even Jack White....the list goes respectively long! Very few artists, especially solo, have sung a raw mood or energy that ultimately you can totally relate towards and altering the mood your in, almost perfectly parallel, the artist to his audience, and decades later still treasured, immortal as it can get while flying low under the mainstreamers and sell outs.....I guarantee you there's an Elliot song that only you can relate to and connect with and then shared to others alike, Immortally in a Figure 8~KT

Master lyricist/word smith; his music is authentic and reaches deep to tug on the heartstrings, all in perfect sync with the melodies. Elliot Smith left us far too soon, but his music will live forever.

100% deserves to be in the HOF, more than some that are already in it

Arguably one of the most naturally gifted songwriters we've ever had, melody, lyrics, guitar, a true genius and a very humble, sincere and beautiful human being.

More than deserved. He is my generations John Lennon. He helped explain the world for those who have trouble explaining it. He was and still is a voice for those who are too timid to speak up. His music is timeless. Everytime I write a song I think about him. He is my spirit guide through this wild world. Even though I don't think he would want to be in the rock and roll hall of fame. It has to happen. For the little guys. It would be a great day for rock and roll.

Elliott Smith deserves to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because he has proven to be a great composer and why many folk musicians today owe a lot of inspiration to Elliott.
