The inconsistencies in this case are truly abhorrent. If you put together the facts that the DOE consider being in possession of marijuana to be of the same severity of misconduct as sexual abuse of a minor in your charge, that a police officer can be so brazen as to pick up a random cigarette end from the street and present it as evidence, that the DOE are refusing to renistate his position due to charges that have been closed and dropped, and a failure to notify them about the charge when they contacted him to tell him they were aware 24 hours afterwards and it reads like an absolute joke. The most horrific thing of all is that a man who genuinely loves to teach and has passion for his kids is being prevented from doing so. And all of this for a misdemeanor fabricated by the police, as they do on many occasions, fuelled by racial profiling ad a need to fill an arrest quota. NYPD and DOE should be fucking ashamed.

Alberto's rights to a speedy trial were violated and once charges were dropped he STILL was not allowed to go back to his teaching job! This is a huge miscarriage of justice! Give Alberto his job back, he was falsly arrested and charges were dropped, he is innocent!!
