After 42 years of loyalty & commitment to CBS, Emmy award winning actor, Doug Davidson is NOT receiving the storylines and/or airtime he deserves. Please show your support in wanting a more integral role for “Chief Paul Williams” on the Young and The Restless by signing this petition. Please respect your fans by bringing back the beloved character of Paul Williams played by Doug Davidson. He has been a staple on the show since I started watching 35 years ago and is greatly missed! There is no police station without Chief Williams.
The treatment of veteran actors on Y&R, especially Doug Davidson, has made the show I have loved for 25 years intolerable to watch. The current writers obviously have no respect for the actors or the fans. I’m not watching again until this changes.
Are you kidding YnR? Doug is a staple to your show. You are replacing one of your icons?? Shame on you. Paul, Christine, Victor, Nicki, Ashley, Jack, Tracy, etc.. all of your originals that put You on the map should always have a welcome mat at YnR!

Doug has given 40 years to this show. He and his loyal fans deserve much better than the disrespect he's been shown of late. Even a relative newcomer was given a more gracious farewell in Hilary's final story line. Please correct this major disservice.
How does Y&R ignore the guy who gave it their first #1 rating?!?
Doug Davidson needs to return to Y&R. His strong presence and police storyline needs to return!

Have been a fan from 1973 and the first episode. Paul Williams is the conscience of Y&R. He cannot be replaced. His gentle, soothing voice, his heart and soul is missing and will help me to watch news instead of this soap. WHO makes this decision.
