There are many heritage in taiping which has lots of stories behind. There were many sweet memory created among the local communities along the years. Heritage should be conserved and maintain well for few more generation instead of replace it with a new modern building without any stories behind.

I borned and grew up in Taiping. The landscape and heritage of this raintown meant so much to me and my family. We love Her just the way she is. Taiping market has been such a precious for the local. Siang malam has always been a gathering point of friends and family. And we love just sitting by roadside chit chatting. Please remain the heritage beauty of Taiping!

These two Market buildings were constructed in 1884 and 1885 respectively, making them more than 130 years old. They may not look like much but they are well kept and continue to serve the locals. These buildings are irreplacable historical artifacts. Taiping council can always build the new market elsewhere, provided there is a genuine need for a new market.
