The town desperately needs this. It gives kids a great place to go and stay out of trouble. The skate community is phenomenal.

It would be amazing to make this dream become a reality. I would hope if the park is built that it would accommodate BMX bikes as well. The township of Toms River has produced some of the best professional level BMX riders in the world. Garrett Reynolds, and Sean Ricany are both from this town and are Decorated Xgames medalists. Many towns claim that due to insurance reason that bike s are not allowed. That is absolutely inaccurate. Towns can accommodate everyone by selecting even and odd days to allow participants of all genres to use the park safely. Many officials and parents just need to be informed of such ideas and be optimistic. I hope this works out.

In the 1990's ocean county's joint insurance fund was changed to allow skateboarding. As a Tom's river resident and mother of a skateboarder we worked on this change. Amazingly it never happened in Toms river by the ice skating rink.

Gotta get it going wanna take a bite outta the drug problem give the kids something positive to do not another soccer or football field a skatepark it’s a great thing tr open your eyes and stop wasting money

I live in Toms River and I love to skateboard and the closest park to me is in brick by drum point school and that park is getting pretty crappy. We need a new park as a home for skating so us skateboarders don’t keep getting kicked off of private property
