Portsmouth, Ohio used to have a small skatepark and a skate shop known as "Grindhouse" and it didn't last forever due to the wooden equipment that had to sit outside. With a concrete park near the Spartan Stadium, this park can be managed better and will last longer. A skatepark will bring forward more attention and attraction to Portsmouth as well as giving the children something to do. Skateboarding is a healthy exercise and sport that promotes individuality, creativity, friendship and commitment while also helping with physical and mental health. If this petition gets enough notice, it will help us push the idea for a skatepark forward and help us get the park we need. Please help us get the skatepark Portsmouth needs. Thank you so much!
