Let's break the silence and bring signing in to main stream schools!

When my granddaughter was a year old, we taught her sign language because she could not speak due nerve damage in her head from a car accident. she is 4 yrs old now, and can now talk. The sign lauguage is helpful as my friend with a special needs child, uses signs. i was able to teach the family some new signs that are helping them. Thank you for the awareness, I live in America, and the problem is here too.

When I taught primary age children we tried learning a few signs together. Now, retired and trying to learn BSL I wish I'd learned it when my brain worked faster. I

my son learns it at school for speech therapy and I love the fact that he uses it, I've been wanted to learn for years now but can find anywhere that can teach me and I wish I'd learnt it at school x
