i wish I could have learnt in school rather than having to learn now!! It's an invaluable skill!

Sign should be more accessible I would love to do a course but at ove £450 to do a level 1 it's not financially viable from me and my assistant to do this course as early years childminder I would love to be able to offer sign in my setting

If primary schools now have to teach a foreign language why can't they teach sign language so that people can communicate with people in our own country? I wish I'd had the chance to learn how to sign at school.

as a partially deaf person, i wasnt offered anything like this at schopl. i went out at 22 and startes to learn up to level 1 but i cannot afford to go further :( Learning this at school wouldve benefited me so much. I want my child to learn from a young age and will be enforced as deafness is so much more discussed and more aware of now. Deaf children in mainstream can feel isolated, this will help these children so much!

I would love to teach sign language in my pre school. I have done this before with children aged 3-4, they picked it up easily and it was fantastic to see all children communicating with each other. it was great to use with children that had speech problems and overcame the frustration children can feel when adults have difficulty understanding them. great idea.
