I am also deaf and strongly believe it should be taught in schools to increase awareness, knowlegde, it's a great skill to have and helps in all sorts of situations, not just talking to deaf people but situations with lots of background noise also.

my son has glue ear and can't hear properly. My sons school aren't helping him at all Iv had to contact health Visiter to come to the school for extra support .. More should be done to help children !!!!!
