Birminghamians it's time to bring ride sharing to Birmingham. By bringing UBER or LYFT to our city not only will it increase tourism, it will also decrease the chances of people drinking and driving. Our employment rate will go up. DUIs will decrease over time. It's pure economics. Nightlife will increase! #bringubertobirmingham
I am currently finalizing a formal proposal to present to the city council regarding the regulatory hurdles preventing ride sharing services from operating in Birmingham. My next step involves securing a meeting with the transportation committee to review the economic data on DUI reduction and job growth. Expect a summary of their initial feedback once I verify their availability.

The scale of this response confirms the demand for ride sharing in Birmingham. I have requested a meeting with city council Transportation Committee members to present these findings as a formal policy proposal.

My kids have used this service very successfully all over the US. Its a shame we are having so much trouble obtaining it for our city.
