Abiola Famawinka, mother of three children, 13, 11 and 5 is a Biomedical Scientist who as sadly widowed when her husband, a renowned journalist in Nigeria – Samuel Oluwasanmi Famawinka was murdered in the Northern Part of Nigeria.
Although she was six months pregnant at the time she had to leave the country with her children in fear of her own and her children’s lives.
Abiola has sought asylum in the UK to safeguard her and her children’s lives; however the UKBA plans to send her back to Nigeria, which will undoubtedly expose them to the danger they fled from.
Abiola will be able to contribute her specialist skills to enhance her community, particularly in the area of healthcare delivery.
It would be cruel to send her and her children back to Nigeria and I would like to support her.
