Let my ladies SPEAK and HELP. WHY are you silencing them on such an important matter? Do you think that skin care or fashion is more important?

This is honestly ridiculous. Its 2020 and you guys are too afraid to speak up on an issue that concerns some of your members? There’s so much hate and racism going on in the world and you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for wanting to stay Silent. Let your members have a voice.

If you are silent in times of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. As an organization dedicated to helping college students grow into the best versions of themselves, not posting about such an obvious and crucial issue is so disappointing.

I do not want to associated with an organization who refuses to acknowledge the history of systemic racism and the struggles that many of OUR sisters have faced due to the color of their skin. Not speaking up on the matter goes against our pillars, our values, our symphony, and everything we stand for as Chi Omega. Silence is complacency and I’m incredibly disappointed that this petition even needs to exist. This is NOT a political issue, this is a human rights issue.

It’s disappointing that speaking up about human rights that we have to ask for permission to do so and even more disappointing that we were not granted that permission. Many women in this chapter are directly affected by the issues occurring in our country right now and it’s upsetting that we’re not being supported

The fact that this chapter is being silenced on issues that affects some of its members is ridiculous. If you really want to educate yourselves and want true change than let us speak up and let us support others.

Speaking up about an injustice on human rights should not be something we have to gain approval about. I am very disappointed.

It saddens me that our chapter is being silenced during this time when we need to use our voice. I joined this chapter to be amongst strong women who make differences in our community and our ability to do so should not need approval. Our support of basic human rights should not need approval.

Speak up! Silence is violence! Chi o and Greek life are not part of the problem, so don't make us look like it!
