Had Kristi not banned the legalization of industrial hemp, South Dakota would be leading the Nation in planted field instead of having the most unplanted. Not to mention industrial hemp would have given our economy the boom it needs to pay for the damages done by the flooding this year. Marijuana isn’t the problem, it’s insecure leaders that go on power trips and rule with an iron fist instead of thinking of the future of the state.

Noem is more concerned with industrial hemp leading to the legalization of marijuana than she is about the insane meth epidemic in our state.

I'm choosing to sign this petition because Governor Noem is taking away my (and every South Dakota residents) right and legal access to safe medicinal CBD oil and refuses to even consider medical marijuana, even though there is scientific proof that cannabis is safe and is actually a curing alternative to many pharmaceuticals that are proven to be incredibly dangerous and addictive.
As a patient clinically diagnosed with endometriosis, adenomyosis, chronic ovarian cysts, fallopian tube cysts, a congenital pancreatic disease, several breast cysts, an arachnoid brain stem cyst, PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, fibromyalgia, mood disorder due to medical conditions, chronic pain and nausea, I believe myself and the rest of the SD should have access to safe and legal cannabis. I will not name this physician for obvious reasons, but this physician advised me to move to a legal cannabis state for my chronic health issues. Considering everything I've previously listed, financially that isn't an option right now. Our doctors should have the right to provide a safe and effective medicine to patients without fear of persecution, and patients should have safe legal access to use it. It sickens me that with all these health problems I can't receive legal cannabis for all of these diagnosed medical issues. It's a violation of rights and choice and it's time to end this ridiculous stigma. That is why I'm choosing to sign this petition.
