The school board reviewed the appeal and granted an eligibility exemption for my final season. I have already submitted the signed paperwork to the athletic director to confirm my roster spot for tomorrow. Thank you for providing the leverage needed to secure this reversal.

I have been playing soccer since I was five years old. I am eighteen years old now and a senior in high school. For years I have worked hard to improve my skill and work ethic. I have given this game my all every time. Recently I finally made my high school varsity soccer team, only to find that I was not eligible to play. The reason they say I am not eligible to play is because of a rule I was unaware of. The rule stated that all athletes are supposed to have 3 classes the semester prior to the season but I had two because I only needed a few credits. I had the option to graduate high school early but I choose not to because of this season, my final season in high school. It was something I work hard for. Please sign this petition to help in the appeal process in hopes of me getting to play.

We are approaching the 500 signature mark which is the threshold required to trigger a formal review by the athletic board. I am finalizing the appeal documents now to ensure we have the necessary backing when I present our case to the administration.

A child should not suffer because staff informed her incorrectly! Your last year of high school is a memory that will last a life time. Do right by Yashi!

The intent of that rule wasn’t meant to kept students like this from playing sports. Can’t just take the rule on its face and expect true fairness. Review her case, design an exception, and let her play and everyone like her afterwards.

It's her senior year. She only took two classes for a good reason. She wasn't being lazy, it's the exact opposite. She worked hard to have that option. Why didn't faculty make her aware of this rule? Faculty fail!!!

This is completely unfair for a student athlete to be penalized for actually putting academics first. This foolish rule should be removed. Let her play!!!

This rule seems outdated - especially since she can graduate early. Re-write this policy so it doesn’t penalize students who are ahead with their credits
