We, the undersigned students, petition the Burlington City Council to establish a polling station on the University of Vermont campus prior to the 2016 Election. While efforts to restrict voter rights and accessibility are rampant across the country, Burlington has an opportunity to increase turnout and engage a new generation of voters. With almost 5,500 students living on campus, we comprise a large percentage of this community and hope to play a role in its future.
