the football players need their support by the students.... that’s basically the only thing they have .

Families should not have to choose which family members are able to attend with families that have more than two people. For families to choose between a parent or a sibling to go to a game is not fair.

To whoever it may concern,
These boys/girls (not just in Northampton but across the Lehigh Valley) have put in countless hours of work in preparation for the Fall 2020 season. This isn’t a shock to anyone. That being said, I am shocked that parents/students/fans (as of right now) are prohibited to attend sporting events without even the opportunity to follow COVID guidelines (which have even been deemed unconstitutional in many cases since being developed). Quite frankly, I think it would be a terrible example being set by the district and any other districts if fans are not allowed at Fall 2020 sporting events (socially distanced). Again, as we know, these boys and girls have worked incredibly hard, BUT so have their parents. So why not let their parents enjoy the “fruits of their labor” so to speak? These parents have made countless sacrifices and it is simply not fair, and arguably unconstitutional for them to not have the opportunity to watch their children play. To extend out beyond the Lehigh valley, several golf courses in Centre County Pennsylvania have stayed open (as they should in the state of the current Economy). They have been able to do this by requiring masks, and ensuring that nobody sharing a cart unless they can prove they live under the same roof. Point being, there are ways to get this done with a tad bit of effort from whoever it is that the effort needs to come from (you know who you are.)
Sincerely yours,
Colin Schucker.

Don’t all senior students parents deserve to potentially watch their child play a sport for the last time?
