The school finally walked back the delivery ban and we have our lunch freedom back. I am honestly relieved that our input actually changed their minds. Keep your eyes open to make sure this stays in place for the rest of the year.

Recently our school has made the decision to stop us ordering food from outside of school. This is a decision that we had no say in, as IB students we are under a lot of pressure and should be allowed to make active decisions about what we put into our bodies. If our senior teachers actually care about student voice and it is not just something said as a courtesy, then our options will be taken into consideration.

I have been hearing from so many of you about how exhausted you are after those long study sessions. The lack of response from the administration is frustrating but I am currently drafting a formal letter to bring our concerns directly to the principal.

Seeing this level of support confirms that my fellow students are just as frustrated by these sudden changes as I am. Knowing that so many of you are feeling this same pressure makes me realize we are not alone in demanding a seat at the table.

We would appreciate it if we could have a discussion with the school heads, and see if we can reach a compromise. Ordering food outside of school gives us something to look forward to during lunch times and study periods, and some of us rely on ordering food during after school sports practise when the snack bar is closed and there is no other food at school available.

As a vegetarian indian the food available is very limited, I want to expand my knowledge of food and different cuisines.

It doesn't make sense to take away the ordering of food. If we are meant to be growing up we should be able to make choices and take care of our own waste and the waste we produce. Not everyone wants to eat the canteen food either. It also doesn't go through receptionists as students walk to the front gate and collect it directly from the food panda delivery people, not the receptionists.

Not all food ordered is unhealthy. A blanket ban like this seems unfair. It also doesn’t seem very fair that senior students will no longer be allowed to order food into school whilst the teachers still can.

Instead of not allowing us to order completely, should have a limit or smth instead. We dont order non nutritional and if we do it is our own choice. The school states that they want us to be independent and treats us like 'young adults' yet they still treat us like children who can't make our own decisions.

Lots of us order food that is more than twice the price of the canteen. That shows something about our opinion of the “nutritious food” school provides
