We the parents of the Bloomsburg Wrestling Team have been following the developments involving this year's wrestling season. We have seen all the major conferences, universities and colleges commit to having a wrestling season this year including our own MAC conference. We also see that less than 25 miles away at Bucknell they have committed to wrestling a modified schedule and even the state's largest university at Penn State has continued to move forward safely with this year's wrestling season.
We understand the concerns and safety that Bloomsburg University has with the spread of COVID-19. Most colleges and universities have put plans in place to keep all the athletes and coaches safe. The athletic departments can test, they can isolate and they can follow all the NCAA protocols, these plans and protocols have proven to work as most schools have continued to compete, throughout the fall and winter at their own wrestling clubs and regional training centers.
We the parents ask that the BU administration consider starting this year's wrestling season following all of the NCAA D1 guidelines and allow these athletes to make the choice to wrestle or not this season.

The emails I keep sending to the administration are still going unanswered. It is exhausting to watch other programs find a way to compete while we are met only with silence. I am tired but I am not stopping.

Every other school is figuring it out. Why is Bloomsburg the only one dragging their feet? Let our kids hit the mat already.
Allow your athletes the opportunity to compete. Society must keep moving forward through this pandemic!
I am hoping you all allow the boys to wrestle when the rest of the state and the country are taking the necessary precautions to make sure their athletes are safe. I am not understanding why you all can’t take those steps as well.
If the NCAA is allowing sports why is BU not following suit. I thought the NCAA was the guiding light for every sport. Why don't the ones in charge at BU figure out how to get it done safely instead of delaying the season.
These boys have set out enough their has been enough safety guide lines to move forward. They need this to keep them active And competitive and from getting into things and trouble thank you
Let them wrestle!!!
Young adults have already lost enough - please dont take away sports again.

PLEASE let them wrestle. These kids have worked their whole lives for this season and they deserve a chance to compete just like everyone else.
