These students should allowed to walk. They have embraced our American ways and we should be respectful and allow them to complete their experience in the most positive way.

What a nice way to show these exchange students our support. I know we allowed our exchange students to do that back over forty years ago in Maine. It's a good will gesture.

To not let any student walk for any reason other than insubordination is an insult to students everywhere. To allow students to attend our school, yet not participate in academic achievements is very disturbing.

As a graduate of MdN, and the host sister of a foreign exchange student who WAS allowed to participate in graduation 24 years ago, I would ask, when and why was this "rule" ever changed in the first place??? Let them walk. It's one of the greatest moments in a young persons life. Why deny someone who attended your school for a year this respectful acknowledgement of their achievement??
