Children need to be in school to obtain the most effective form of education and also because this social isolation negatively effects their emotional stability and growth as well as their development. Keeping kids at home will also cause major financial stressors among other stressors as parents have to work and may not be educated enough to teach their children properly. Our kids are our future and it is the schools job to provide them an academic education to help them grow and prosper. It is the parents job to support, love, nurture and teach a world of other life skills. Changes in the school day are understood as we all must make adjustments but denying children of a fun, healthy learning environment, social interactions and the smile of a greeting teacher is detrimental, especially for those who struggle academically and really need the professional support or those who only get to socially interact while at school and let's not forget those children (and there are many) where school is there only safe place they have to escape the horrors of their home life realities. Enough already!

my kids have IEPs they need to be back in school interacting with their peers and teachers.. they cannot live in isolation forever this is taking from their education and their future. it to mention I am not a teacher i am a single parent I have to work I can work full time and teach them the way they need to be taught at the same time.

As a mother of 5 kids their education is the most important thing. So many kids are already behind when all of this started going on. We can go to the mall, out to eat, let our kids play together at the park. In my eyes if they can do all of this they can go to school!!!!

School is very important to children and being in that setting is very important. Some kids only escape from abuse is school leaving them closed could result in the death in one of them cause they have no way to get help if they are not in school. If school remains close you are destroying the future of this nation cause kids will be missing out on alot of information. Homeschooling will not work. It's not the same as a classroom environment

As a full time working mom of 3 kids (one with medical issues) it is vital that my kids have transportation and a place where they can be taught. Myboldest whonis going to 6th grade this year is only scheduled for 1 day a week. He is already pretty far behind on his studies due to the medical issues he has. By only allowing him to go to school 1 day a week this is going to seriously cause HUGE issues due to falling further behind as well as never being able to catch up. I am an essential employee as I work in the banking industry and right after covid started and schools let out was a struggle because Ibhave had to try to be a full time teacher as well as full time working mom. I work remotely and my kids can't be on the internet while I am working so them doing their studies at home will not work either. Anyone that has kids knows that if you give a kid a packet of work and don't constantly remind them to do it that it will not get done. Please allow the people who need these services be able to receive them for it is vital for our children's future.
