This petition is to show the solidarity of the reasonable voices within the Folly Beach community that say that we do not want an "all-or-nothing" solution, and that we were not represented in the process that took place to hastily enact this ban. We are for the thoughtful process of finding creative, tailored solutions to any issues we face in our community.
We want a fair dialogue, and a process that regards establishing facts, and rational argumentation, as the highest form of debate. We acknowledge that the only way to get that dialogue is to vote "no" on November 6th ballot, as put forth by Folly Beach Mayor, Tim Goodwin.
