This petition is to raise awareness that it is possible for the OL Reign to be bought by fans. By mixing incomes through sponsorships, individual investors/share holders, and fans purchasing shares, the OL Reign could become fan owned much like the NFLs Green Bay Packers.
Although the team was bought for 3.5 million, the most recent teams have sold for close to 30+ million. If enough fans are interested, there would be grounds to find a majority buyer with the fans fillin in the rest of the shares. Sign this petition, share this petition, and let’s make this happen

with two notes, - expect the team's valuation is closer to $35m than $3.5m - US Soccer mandates one individual who meets "high standards of wealth" must own 35% of the team I would nonetheless love to see community ownership in as major a fashion as possible
Hell yeah!!
The team value is much higher than cited, but community ownership would be great. Sadly, sports generally prohibit it, to keep it as a playground only for the super rich. Plutocracy is what some call it.

I have been supporting the Reign as a season ticket holder since 2016, and a core Royal Guard SG member since 2017. I feel strongly about the connection between Club, Community, and Place. So much so that I am willing - and eager! - to put money on it.
