The owner of this hotel has worked miracles since taking over. Please support her and let common sense prevail.

I think that the windows enhance the look of the building. The owner clearly is looking after it's upkeep.

E B C councilors what do they have between their ears ??? Just look at the East Beach hotel. I think that you would have to agree that it is the best presented hotel along Eastbourne beautiful seafront. So come on guys show some sense councilors.

I don't think that what they are requesting is necessary and this should not go ahead. The hotel is lovely, I have stayed many times and always enjoyed my stay there.

They look fine to me. Eastbourne Borough Council should be ashamed of themselves. Thought they were supposed to support their local businesses!

this hotel is very well kept, and stands out as one of eastbourns finest ,the windows make it look so good, i come from norfolk and as the lady stated maybe the councillers should worry about the drug and crime problem in eastbourne not a lady trying to make things look better being on the seafront upvc windows make scence not rotting wood ones

Victimising a small local buisness for investing and maintaining the appearance of the hotel for the better is wrong in my opinion, time could be better spent investigating the obvious run down properties along the front for one.

I feel it's a terrible shame that so much work has gone into the upkeep and preservation of one of Eastbournes beautiful seafront hotels to then be told that the Windows should be changed at a cost of approx £250k to look the same but confirm on paper ?! What's important here is the upkeep and appearance of the hotel surely?!

Many more pressing and important things to be dealing with in Eastbourbe than a hotelier making the best of a very pretty hotel, I went out for a walk at 9am this morning and had to walk past the 'street' drinkers not only drinking but sniffing canisters, nice. Do something about that councillers.

This hotel stands out for how well looked after it is! A fine example of how to present good walkouts accommodation in Eastbourne and attract visitors to the town and boost tourism, it should be congratulated not victimised in this way.

The council needs to move into the 21st century, take a long look at a lot of the other properties along the seafront. How many of them have Upvc Windows and have not received planning permission. It seems that there is different rules for different people. Leave the lady alone and let her get on with welcoming guests and running her successful business.

Surely we are looking to improve the seafront and to improve on energy usage. Why would the council be happy for the windows to go into disrepair like another local attraction that is wanting to improve the appearance with paint.

Leave the lady to get on with looking after her guests. The hotel is fab and looks better than some I have seen.

I think the East Beach has never looked so good. Windows are an enhancement. Let them stay!
