We the citizens of Greater Hermiston respectfully request that the Hermiston City Council maintain the use of the Hermiston Conference Center as in its current form, and that it continues to be managed and overseen by the Greater Hermiston Chamber of Commerce.

The Hermiston Conference Center has played an integral part in the success of Girl Scouts in Hermiston. It is an affordable venue for our Annual Me and My Prince Ball that serves 500 girls and their father/father figures as well as a great resource for training and meeting space. The Hermiston Chamber of Commerce and their staff are important supporters of our program and deserve to have an office above ground!
The chamber does amazing work for the community and businesses. Putting them in a basement is wrong! Our community is growing and they need to be seen not hidden.
The community helped build the Community Center, please keep it a community center.
The community needs to have a voice in this decision ~ this should not be made behind closed doors without public discussion or vote
Discussion needs to held in public about the future of this building that the citizens paid for.
This community is in need of keeping this building for events.

I was a Realtor for 27 years in Hermiston and the Chamber office was integral part of welcoming new people to our community. How imbarrassing that newcomers will be sent to a basement!!!! What does that say about our Community? Not Good! Would be better to move City Hall and the Mayor to a basement!
