To the Hilltown Supervisors: You should be lifting up and supporting small and family run businesses in this area. You should not be making it more difficult for them to sustain a living. You are also not considering the preservation of a venue that brings revenue to this area and where families create memories.

Once again government overreaching power grabs at the expense of hard working citizens.

My letter to the township: Tabora Farm and Orchard has been a Hilltown Institution and a part of the local fabric for decades. This community greatly appreciates what they do for this area. With this in mind, I am writing to you today to explore you to allow Caleb and Patricia Torrice and the good folks there to continue providing this valuable service to our community without further penalty. I am a long time resident and 31 year real estate professional in the area. As a part of my business practice, I love to showcase this beautiful area however I can. Part of the Welcome to Bucks County that I share with all of my clients is a gorgeous Tabora basket. Every client gets one! Those new to the area visit this Hilltown institution and share their experience with others. They also tend to discover the surrounding area and let me know how happy they were to be directed there. Local clients get to know Hilltown and the surrounding area in a whole new way by starting this education at Tabora. It would seem the use and plans for future use of this establishment were known and approved by the township as per their correspondence with the previous owner, J. Roger Eatherton. (I reference article http://www.buckscountycouriertimes.com/news/20180824/former-tabora-owner-says-township-knew-of-zoning-problems ) The changes made by both owners have been to facilitate the growth of the core business while meeting the needs and desires of the patrons. Although unfortunate that anyone may be bothered by the “agritourism”, as described by previous owner J. Roger Eatherton, by and large these events serve the masses and make Tabora Farm and Hilltown Township a destination that might otherwise be missed. I am asking that you please reconsider your position with regard to the future of Tabora Farm and Orchard. Pressing to sanction them could imperil their ability to continue providing their wonderful services and environment to the community at large. Sh

Absolutely ridiculous that a township would go to such lengths to harm a local family owned business. Hard not to conclude there is a more to their motivation than simply appeasing a few grumpy residents with a NIMBY attitude

Tabora Farm has been part of our many family celebrations from Mom's 100th birthday party, to after wedding brunch, to grandchildren's Christenings!!! This battle is so unjust!!!! Meanwhile, on our tiny country road of 12 homes Hilltown is now considering permitting the construction of over 200 townhouses!!! What is going on?????

The arrangement made with the zoning board already requires enough concession on the part of Tabora Farms. The board's irrational war against this unique a popular local business reeks of corruption and graft.

I love Tabora and am saddened by the zoning board’s decision to extend this expensive process.

This is a classic example of government over reach.

Shame on you, Hilltown Twp. Communities should be working together to find common ground and preserve the small, local, working farms that are left in this country. It’s our history, our heritage, our foundation. It’s what we should really be teaching our children about and leaving for them.

Love ❤️ Tabora and it’s events it brings to the community. Peace Valley winery has been shut down. There are also wineries scattered thru out Bucks, that do the same. I support this hard working family business.

Shame on all who made this decision, here is a young family trying to make a honest living and their are being stopped by politics again. These board members that make the decisions have to realize that Hilltown residents enjoy visiting Tabora Farms on all occasions. Please reconsider your decisions, listen to the voters that voted you into your positions. Wineries are all over, why pick this one to close? Why stop all events when you could maybe come to a compromise that wouldn’t hurt this family and anyone that would like an event there.

Caleb and Tricia are the most well intentioned business owners I’ve ever known. They turned Tabora into an awesome resource for the whole community. To tear it down like this is a disservice to them, and to all people of The town
