SKYPLEX UPDATE: Skyplex is officially cancelled and is not happening at all. The cancellation was confirmed back in October last year. So, this petition should now be closed.

I am from Tampa and visit Orlando every month for fun at theme parks. Hope Skyplex will get the vote... if not then I would request you all to think about Tampa for this project. If Orlando doesnt want it then bring it to Tampa or Bay Area. One project can change the dynamics... because of Disney initiative in the beginning, Orlando became as top tourist destination... if Orlando denies it then lets make Tampa as the next destination for this project and make Tampa Bay Area as the new Top Hot Tourist Destination in Florida...

As a long time resident here in Orlando I find this whole ordeal utterly ridiculous. One thing I have always admired are people that dream big and have the stones to put fourth a plan and attempt to accomplish something that has never been done before. How many never done before, or first in the world, or world's greatest, tallest or biggest can a so called city of superlatives truly claim other then a biggest McDonald's play place? I think what local competitors fail to realize is that people flock to places to see the world's greatest, tallest, fastest, and that is only a win for every other attraction, shop and resteraunt in the area. I believe every attraction and entertainment destination in the area will all eat from a larger pie because frankly no one comes to Orlando for 1 or 2 days except for maybe convention goers who may only have time for night time activities anyway . What I'm trying to say is that every entertainment area has their own niche that captures the heart and mind of visitors and the more unique experiences that are provided are only a good thing for everybody, because honestly tourists can enjoy the same parks and most times the same rides in California and other areas of the world so to have other projects unique to Orlando should make a travelers decision that much easier. I have followed this project from the day of its announcement and continue to follow it everyday much like I follow Universal, Disney, Unicorp, Isquare, Ace Cafe, the soccer stadium, magic sports and entertainment complex and all of the other projects that show human ingenuity and creativity . While following Skyplex I have seen excitement about the project on news outlets nationally and suprisingly more so worldwide. As a local I honestly don't spend time on international drive, sadly I can actually say I have spent more hours per year over the last 8 years on the Las Vegas Strip and I am not a gambler! I love going there because it provides me something I have n
