Dear President Armida Ornelas and VPAS Robert Parker,

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask that you grant Richard Lam's request to work remotely as Department Secretary on a part-time basis. Richard has diligently served LAMC since 2016 and is widely recognized by his peers and colleagues for being one of the most effective Department Secretaries on staff. We would much rather see Richard return to work in a remote, part-time capacity than hire and train a substitute to replace him. Richard feels healthy enough to return on a remote, part-time basis, and his physician supports his request. We hope the Administration agrees as well. Thank you for your time and consideration.
