I believe that all players should be given a choice as to what attire to wear to ensure their comfort and ultimately enhance their performance.

We oppose the unfair and unreasonable code of conduct regarding the attire. This was brought up for 2025 SA Nationals as well and never addressed.

I agree with the statement being said above, I would love to wear something new for my singles and doubles events and not look the same.

Let players wear their own attire for table tennis makes sense for a few practical and psychological reasons.
Table tennis is fast and relies on quick and rotational movement, and temperature regulation. Players know what fabrics and cuts don’t restrict their shoulders or overheat them. Forcing a uniform kit can introduce distractions like chafing, tight clothing, or sweaty synthetic material. When people control their own gear, they can pick what keeps them moving freely.
Requiring specific jackets, t shirts, or pants means players need to buy extra gear just to join.
That makes it harder for new players to participate. Letting them play in their own athletic wear keeps the sport accessible.
Clothes are one of the few ways players can express personality in a sport that’s otherwise very uniform. That small bit of identity makes people more likely to show up, stick with it, and feel like the game is theirs.
