We visit Parry Sound every summer and having to "time" our parking would be a huge inconvenience. Please reconsider this decision. Also what is the cost of monitoring the meters? It's it worth it?

As a tourist paid parking is enough to send me in a different direction. The last thing I need on vacation is to worry about how many hours are left or a ticket.
Our waterfront is perfect the way it is.It belongs to the people. Please let the people have something they are not constantly checking their watches so they don't get a ticket. This is just greed, pure and simple. Don't do it.

Thanks Susan for starting this petition.....parking fees are deterrent and will take away traffic from the waterfront businesses!!!

It's hard to believe that the amount collected by parking even balances out the cost for maintenance of the machines, those to staff the process, etc. would be interesting just to TRY it for a summer season and see what happens...think they'll find the people here are correct and we'll see an economic increase in many aspects

Putting in parking meters to increase revenue for Town of Parry Sound is not the way to do it. Let them look at the other side of the coin - those with businesses that people won't frequent as often if they must pay for parking.... How desperate is the Town of Parry Sound!!

Leave the parking as is. It encourages people to support the businesses on our waterfront without the worry of paying for parking.

Parking in Parry Sound is already high enough and in enough places. We do not need more metered parking.

Parking on Bay St. Has always been a pleasure. Why make it more difficult for people to enjoy the waterfront? This idea is just a money grab as far as I' m concerned.

Our Town council has always claimed to support local business and provide an environment of support and encouragement. This action is not congruent with their expressed policy and intention. I believe this measure will reduce traffic/visitation to the waterfront and be a counter productive to our town's goal of developing tourism. I think there must be better alternatives to raising revenue than to attempt to raise insecure income from traffic meters. Please reexamine this position. Allow locals and visitors alike to continue to enjoy our beautiful waterfront

Can't believe this is necessary. Would be bad for the businesses along the waterfront.

Penny wise, pound foolish to charge for parking. Make a couple bucks, but lose a lot more for local retailers who will lose walk in business.

Just look at what Bracebridge and Huntsville has done to encourage visitors by removing their paid parking!

As former visitor to 40 Bay Street B&B this would have been inconvenient to begin with and not much of a selling point when parking is at a premium anyway.
