This petition has been created to advocate for our children and prove to the Monforton school board our community support in honoring parents and guardians discretion to choose for their students in regards to masking throughout the coming 2021-2022 school year.

I have spent my entire week talking with other parents who feel just as ignored by the board as I do. It is clear that we are not alone in wanting to make these decisions for our own children. We are preparing our points for the next meeting because our kids deserve to be seen as individuals rather than policies.

The momentum behind this effort has shifted from a small group of worried parents into a movement that the board simply cannot ignore. Our children deserve the freedom to breathe easy in their classrooms and I feel encouraged knowing so many of you believe that too.

It’s Time our children’s mental and emotional health be our number ONE priority.
Masks need to be optional and with only parental discretion. Elected officials work for us .They are not authorized to rule.
No Masks! If they require masks we will be sending our children to a private school that has leaders with common sense and a backbone .
There is a special school board meeting tonight. Sept 7 at 6pm via zoom to vote to make masks mandatory..... As a mitigation tactic rather than hire enough staff to teach the health students in person ... Anyone you know that would want to sign and hasn't (district members/neighbors or fellow parents of students) please share with them!
Neither choice is wrong. That’s what makes it a choice! I don’t parent our children the same way my brother does his because we make different choices and different points of view on the matter. It doesn’t make me or him wrong. It makes us human with choices. Please keep optional.

I have 2 kids that attend Monforton. Children with their parents guidance should individually have the right to either “NOT WEAR” or “WEAR” a mask at school. It’s a personal choice.
