Kids need to be able to socialize, and between classes is a perfect time for them to do this. No child should be expected to refrain from talking to their friends while attending school for 8 hours! As for the bathroom problems, set up a pass system that allows each child a specific number of passes per 9 weeks. These would be in addition to the "scheduled" bathroom times. This teaches the student responsibility, as they are now in control of when they can use the restroom. Once their passes are used up, then the students could face consequences for leaving during class. Neither of these should even be an issue when there are more important things to worry about in school!

There is no reason why kids shouldn't be able to use the restroom or socialize a little in between classes as long as they get to class on time, ready for class. Better to do it before class starts than while its in session!

Yes absolutely. Our children need structure but they also need to be able to socialize. Allow our children to grow and make friends.

Let these kids have an outlet between classes to speak to one another. It's a pain to enforce and I'm sure the teachers would like them to talk in the hallway rather than the classroom.

When does this person go to the restroom? I am sure when they have to. How barbaric can you be? I would hope this person would lose their job or be reprimanded harshly!

Here's a novel idea, why don't we punish the kids that actually cause the problems.

If you start giving these kids a little more responsibility, they may suprise you and act mature enough to use a bathroom and talk without causing drama.

These children need time to use the restroom and to release some energy between classes. They are not robots who can be programmed to hold their bodily functions for hours. That is detrimental to their health.

Our children's bladder has no time clock. The appropriate time for these children to use the bathroom and other personal things it between classes. If they wait until class starts and ask to be excused they are disrupting the class. I feel they don't have the opportunity to relieve themselves they, are in turn ruining their health. Please use their time wisely.
