I see both sides, but really I believe that the punishment is too severe.

Please be human and let the "kids"walk with there class, take a second and think about what you did at there age, you were not perfect nor did you or do you always do right, give them reasonable punishement do to the fact a rule was broke yet they were caught before it was done. Not letting these kids walk will destroy there future for a long time, if not a lifetime, to me this is very sad and I as a kid not being but six years out of high school would feel bad enough I got caught and would have learned my lesson by how scared I felt that I got caught, please just be adult about the situation these children/young adults do know better how ever after hard work and dedication there day is deserved , thank you!

Let them walk! They were only upholding years of tradition. It was harmless.

Senior pranks have been pulled for years and I never wince remember students not being aloud to walk because of the pranks, I think the kids should be aloud to walk.

It's my understanding that these kids didn't even break in to the building and enter in to it but did with good intentions plan to write with erasable marker some fun memorable fair wells as they are finishing what some people may never accomplish and 12 years of hard work and dedication should not be taken away for something so small. They did not have the intent to vandalize anything and were stopped prior to being able to so much as get in the building. Exaggerating this incident and takin this away is completely unfair. Let them walk into their adult hood with a sense of pride and accomplishment and encourage them to go forth. They earned it!

Seriously a harmless prank. How many of us did pranks our senior year and if I remember correctly the gr principal was in on our classes senior prank.

Have them clean the bleachers afterwards. Not walking hurts their families more than them.
