I am so proud of NOAH. Let's hope the Verona :educators" come to their senses.

I was a 1/2 Credit behind when I graduated due to an illness, I was able to walk and they presented me with a fake diploma (my actual one came when I finished my credit). Have a little sympathy for what this young man is going through and let him walk with his class.

I worked in education for many years and this would never have happen in our District! When it comes to sharing a caring community with students you have failed! An unsigned diploma is a simple fix! Wake up sounds like a student to be proud of!

Shame on the Principal and others involved in wanting to keep this young man from waliking in his graduation ceremony. This a once in a lifetime opportunity, he can never get this experience back. Nothing about how this situation has been handled by the school has been OK. I'm so proud of the other students and community rallying around him. As someone who has 2 autoimmune diseases, I understand what it's like to he treated different especially because others don't understand what you are going through. They are discriminating against him. I doubt if he had cancer the principal would being doing this. #Letnoahwalk

This decision is absolutely absurd. As a retired teacher from the Verona system, I am appalled at the lack of judgment being shown by the administration. What do you really stand for?

My sister once told me not to sweat the small stuff in my high school yearbook. She's nine years older than me with kids if her own at that time. She told me things that seemed like a big deal in high school aren't really in the grand scheme of life. That it's just four years. They usually aren't the best of your life like everyone touts. She told me they were be mere blips on the radar compared to my college graduation, my marriage, and the birth of my own children. While you are entitled to walk, should walk, and I hope that works out for you, what I want to say is what my sister said to me twenty years ago. I hope you remember it regardless of the outcome. Don't sweat the small stuff. When you look back in twenty years, the pain of this will still sting, but not nearly as much as it does now. And by then, you will have so many good memories that you don't allow this one much space or your precious time. I have a Noah who has special needs. He has missed so much because of his disability. We try to focus on the positives. And the positive here is, despite your condition, you have accomplished something so great. And no one can rob you of that accomplishment. It is yours. Forever. Best of luck in all you do and much congratulations on your high school graduation. ♡

Be the grown-up VAHS, let him walk/graduate with his peers. Give him his diploma when he completes his course.
