The Westlake Academy staff and community have recently been informed that Ms. Livia Miller will not be teaching MYP classes in the 2014-2015 school year. She has been given the responsibility to monitor the Study Hall periods instead. Her teaching experience and her proven success as an educator has been disregarded and disrespected. She has made her mark on so many lives and is beloved by her past students. She helps her students not only become more knowledgeable, but also prepares them for the rest of their school careers and beyond. Ms. Miller does not deserve this blatant lack of well deserved respect from the Westlake Academy administration. The reasons for this change in staffing are unclear and not warranting of her removal from her current position.
