This man was more than a teacher to both of my girls in high school. He served as a role model, a mentor, and a genuine great guy. He influenced my oldest daughter to go on to teach and was a huge influence on my other daughter in yearbook class and AP literature. Letting this man go is a HUGE mistake and a great loss to current and upcoming students. I cannot thank Mr. Fish enough for all he did for my girls.

Mr. Fish has clearly made a positive impact in the lives of the kids he taught... With the exception of ONE. It is awfully sad that these teachers are told to prepare kids for the world they will live in... That the knowledge they take with them will broaden their horizons and shape who they become... Then with one word upsetting one kid, a teacher who actually CARED is stripped of his job. I want to know what world this child & her parents think they are living in? Are they aware that maybe reading a poem with a curse word in it is preparing her for the life ahead of her in more ways than one? She WILL encounter this word again throughout her life...And where she doesn't have to LIKE it, she will have to learn to cope - as she will have to do with many other situations & disappointments that she encounters. Firing a teacher who has introduced and ignited a passion for the written word within his students, is not only out of line, but is indicative of what is wrong with society. Entitled and spoiled... That is the future this type of response is creating. Tell this CHILD to put her big girl pants on and GET OVER IT.

Mr. Fish has been a tremendous influence on my granddaughter. Until his influence, her shyness really limited her ability to communicate. She is now confident and able to communicate effectively. More than other teachers, he has inspired her. Please recognize the mistake and have him reinstated.

Why would you rid the school system of a great teacher that promotes critical thinking?

I do not know mr. Fish personally but he is one of our granddaughters favorite teachers and has encouraged her so much for several years we feel a warning is appropriate

Greg Fish is not just a member of my family. Throughout high school, he was not only my teacher and yearbook staff advisor, but he was was my mentor, my confidant, my shoulder to cry on, and my friend. He has impacted my life in so many ways. He is the one who brought me out of my shell and shaped me into the leader I am today. He believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. He is one of the only positive memories I have related to my time at Easley High School, and I am heavily disappointed for his current and future students that his time there was cut short. That being said, the outpouring of love and support from his past and current students during this terrible time gives me and the rest of my family confidence that his time spent at EHS was not in vein. He has positively impacted so many of his students in ways that even they might not understand until they are out in the real world, because that's what he prepared us for.

Mr. Fish taught my step daughter and coached my sons cross country team. They both loved him and I was thankful that my children had a teacher that truly made learning fun for them and impacted their lives. He also taught the cross country team how to truly be a team. He would run beside the team and cheer them on. He is a great teacher! For one word to cause him to be forced to resign.... That's definitely too much. While whomever was offended by a word, I'm offended that a wonderful teacher with a family is now without a job because that one person was offended.

He is one of the most influential teachers in my daughters education and him teaching the different mechanisms of the English language is his way of connecting with the students. This is ludicrous . We want him back!

Mr. Fish was the best English teacher I had throughout high school and college. He gave me a new appreciation for literature and taught in a way that made it easy to understand and learn. He is a huge asset to Easley High School and was/is loved by many! C/O 2005
