As the father of a graduating senior, who has a deep interest in continuing her education in literature and journalism, I am greatly saddened that such as drastic measure has been taken for what appears to be at best a minor issue. The impact of Mr. Fish's dismissal will have a a far greater negative impact than any potential gain. I ask that the authorities review this decision and instead evaluate any penalty against the greater damage his dismissal will emphatically cause.

Dont know him, but any teacher, educator of children that can draw this much support deserves to teach. How many teachers actually have this love and admiration from a community??

Any teacher that can generate this amount of support deserves a second chance. I taught HS for 8 years and heard far worse than the 'F' word in the hallways. I understand holding teachers to a higher standard, but I also understand that often political correctness overrules common sense and as an outside entity looking in, it appears this is one of those times

People need to grow up . All the staff that has their hands in this man being fired , have hurt more than just one man . They have hurt students . Pretty sure something ugly could be said about those nasty people .

Not only is it ridiculous that someone was "offended" in this situation, but it is absolutely laughable that the administration made the decision that what he did justified letting him go. If anyone should be fired, it's the dolts worked up about how "offensive" a poem read by an English teacher is.

Firing Fish will do no good for anyone, especially in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Mr.Fish is a special asset to the Easley High School English department and impacts students positively in school and out it would be a tragedy if Mr. Fish was to discontinue his job that he so dearly loves

Fish is an amazing teacher that has set many students up for success in further English classes. His room was a safe haven for many and he was always there for his students. Don't let one opinion make it that other students can't have their life changed and touched by Mr. Fish.

He is a great teacher and deserves the respect, for the reason he was fired is ridiculous
