My nephew had him during all this and misses a wonderful teacher he had for a short time. Let them speak about their teacher who left a good stamp on their futures

Freedom of speech should come first, plus it's a disgrace to restrict her for talking briefly about an educator who meant so much to so many. Disgraceful!

I have no idea why on earth MBIT would have the audacity to tell someone they can't mention Mr. Tully in their graduation speech. He was an incredible teacher who inspired his students, and was greatly respected by all. His name doesn't deserve to be censored like this.

I can't believe I have to sign a petition to have this happen. The man cared so much about MBIT, and this is such a dishonor to his memory. The administration should be the champion of honoring and remembering Mr. Tully, not shaming themselves with such disrespect.

It's a shame that a persons life is devalued by one wrong action and in this case under the influence of a disease. Every life matters their whole life. This is an opportunity to honor a dedicated teacher and open a real and needed discussion about mental health issues. Education must be more than facts an figures. We complain about our young people being self centered and irresponsible. Well this class is being mature, responsible and others focussed. All this generation really wants is real discussions about real life and issues that are important to them. If you read these comments these young people are dealing with a real life issue. Please let them and help them. Allow them to see what the heart of teaching, discipline and mentoring are really about. If we as parents, educators and adults hinder the development of passion in our young people we limit their future and ours.

I am a student now, nd the the admin talked to us and said to a student they were ruining it for the whole graduating class and making it all about Tully. That it was just rumors that the student was spreading when all the student was doing was fighting for recognition. An admin actually got heated at the student and brought up past late teachers who weren't recognized at graduation and made the student cry. this is not alrite anymore, they ignored our questions and wishes

This is a must, I wasn't lucky enough to have Mr Tully as my teacher because I wasn't interested his class but I passed his class everyday on the way to PEL and he made my miserable days great sometimes and always seemed to randomly amaze me with something. Just saying that itself should be enough because I wasn't a student and he still managed to touched my life.. Now just imagine how he touched others lives who have had the great first hand experience and privilege of learning with this great person! Must happen! Must place such a great soul in remembrance because we all know he would love to be there and see his students succedd which everyone knows is all Mr Tully wanted! Come on MBIT!

Mr. Tully has had such a large impact on all of his students and absolutely deserves to be recognized each and every day. His hard work and dedication to his students are the reason they are up there graduating in the first place and he should absolutely be recognized for that.

What kind of human being can prohibit to another one to talk about feelings?
Why hide it? Mr. Tully is not physically with us any more, but he is atill in the students hearts and brains.
So Lucy should talk whatever she wants in name of the rest of the students.

I don't have a student at MBIT, but I know Mr. Tully touched the lives of many, many students. If they want to remember this teacher at their graduation, they should have that option and not be censored.

MBIT: Do not let Mr. Tully's memory die by censoring your students' speeches. He gave so much to MBIT and this is how you honor him?By refusing to allow for his name to spoken by those students whose lives he touched? Disgusting. The administration should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
